Our Fees:
Nantucket Eye Center determines professional fees based on Medicare guidelines. This is true whether or not the patient has Medicare. This is done to ensure that all patients are charged the same for the same level of service.
These guidelines are based on general health history, eye history, severity of condition, level of decision making, diagnosis and time.

Insurance:
- Blue Cross/Blue Shield - Most plans provide medical eye care and many provide for routine eye exams. Some cover care only at specific locations. A few even provide eye wear and contact lense coverage. Be sure to ask us for details. Authorized by a Blue Cross/Blue Shield card.
- Mass Health - Provides Eye Examinations and selected eyewear. Authorized by Mass Health Card.
- Medicare - Provides most eye examinations and first eyewear after cataract surgery. Authorized by Medicare Card.
- Vision Service Plan - Provides eye examinations, eyewear, contact lenses and a discount on Laser Vision Correction. Authorized by Social Security Number. Your employer can provide this benefit.
- Harvard Pilgrim, United Health Care, PHCS,CIGNA, Tufts, Tricare, HCVM, Unicare/GIC - Coverage under these plans varies greatly. We will be happy to check your benefits for you.
